CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

WAYNE JOSEPH (CHARACTER): Johnny’s father.

Several years ago, when Johnny’s father worked for the prosecutor’s office, he stumbled upon evidence that suggested that Leon’s business was involved in fraudulent activity. Wayne brought Leon in for questioning regarding it. When the lead prosecutor learned of what Wayne was doing, he brought in false evidence supporting Leon’s innocence and told Wayne to stop the investigation. Leon was quickly released and the investigation stopped. Wayne, however, has always expected there is more there than people wanted to let on. Leon is annoyed with Wayne for treating him so harshly during the questioning. Shortly after Leon’s questioning, drugs were planted in Wayne’s car. The prosecutor agreed to keep it hush if he left the prosecutor’s office. Wayne knew he was innocent, but there was little he could do, so he agreed to leave. It was at that time that Wayne went to work for a defense attorney law firm, which he where he is at now. Six months ago he was made partner in the practice.

* You can write the monologue to suit the character you have developed
