ONLINE CASTING FOR FEATURE LENGTH FILM & TELEVISION DRAMA SERIES

This website will give the actor / performers an opportunity to film and control their own audition and when satisfied upload it.You could film it yourself or have someone film it.
Each actor/performer will film their audition, which is an audition for the Academy, in character, that is, representing one of the characters in the series. A guideline of characters including audition monologues is available on the website, click here to see the characters. You may create your own character. -The Teachers of the Academy will be actors also cast internationally. Teachers can be any age and also can also come from any country of the world. A Film will be then made – The Final Audition – followed by a Television Drama Series – Term 1 The Academy -
We are searching for an ensemble cast of about 15 including students and teachers for the television drama series
The performance ability can change to suit the actor/performers auditioning for the role , e.g. Johnny can be a Cello player, a percussionist, a dancer – or all three.
There will be a prize of $5000 to the director who films the audition of any of the 8 main cast selected.
ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS
To enter please follow these steps:
1. Visit http://www.youtube.com/user/markpiperdotcom and Login to Youtube to upload your film. You will need your own YouTube Registration to upload your video to YouTube.
2. YouTube will provide you with a unique URL eg. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=OaNYcNGz9DM), which you will need before you complete the online entry form.
3. Fill out & send the Online Audition Application Form
FIRST AUDITION
You can see previously submitted Auditions at Youtube.
* Firstly you will do your performance piece with a brief introduction (in character – guideline of characters are available here, first names only when introducing your characters in your audition. ) Perform a solo musical number, dance or any performance piece – no more than 2 minutes long. Musical instruments allowed.
* Then you will talk directly to camera in the character you have chosen – its like a personal video blog from your character’s page linked from here – speak in any language or accent you choose.
* You can write the monologue to suit the character you have developed.
* You can adjust the monologue to suit the character you have created.
* Dress as your character.
