This Foundation Course is designed to give the actor specialised training in 10 week blocks.
We believe there are a few essential elements in your training to become an actor including Theatre and Writing education, Voice, Stella Adler, Stanford Meisner, Chubbuck, and of course shooting scenes. You must also prepare at least one American Contemporary monologue over the 10 weeks. You will be also proactive in preparing your American profile.
10 Week course includes Voice, singing and Theatre, Intro to Stella Adler, Stanford Meisner training, American accent Classes 2 day workshops Previous Ivana Chubbuck technique with Anthony Wong , Module #2 Peter Andrikidis Director, Writing & Script education, and Shooting one American Scene and Monologue with Director in Residence. Free workshops with Immigration Agents, Layers, Agents and Casting Directors
Outcomes: Acting CV, Head shots, Footage and very good training.

Anthony Wong – Chubbuck
Anthony has been teaching the Chubbuck Technique for 7 years at many prestigious studios both here and in America. His screen credits include Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire, Guns Girls and Gambling opposite Gary Oldman and Christian Slater, Hemingway and Gellhorn opposite Nicole Kidman and Clive Owen, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Glee, NCIS, The Unit, Crooked Business, All Saints, Home and Away, Samurai Girl, Mask of the Ninja and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. His extensive stage credits include lead and major roles in productions for Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Malthouse, Playbox, Victorian Arts Centre, State Theatre Company of South Australia, Urban Theatre Projects and One Extra Company. Anthony won the Victorian Green Room Best Actor Award for Sex Diary of an Infidel.
Adrian Williams – Brett – Chekhov, Voice, Theatre, Steiner
Adrian is a voice and theatre specialist (Chekhov and Steiner methods) and will be tutoring students on individual monologues. Using movement, body-centres and ‘creative sound-work’, he will introduce an approach to text that brings gesture, dynamic and power to vocal delivery and characterisation.
Adrian trained at the Harkness Studio for Speech and Drama in Sydney before moving to the UK where he has spent the last 24 years working as an actor, director, writer, composer, musical director and acting teacher. He worked with theatre companies including the Rose Theatre Company, Portal Productions, Fairgame, Dionysia Theatre, Circle-X Arts and co-founded the award winning TaurusVoice Theatre Company. He toured widely in Europe and America with classical and contemporary productions.
He co-founded the Stroud Performing Arts Foundation Courses in the UK and ran two large community choirs. He was an original member of the Sydney gospel choir, ‘Café at the Gate of Salvation’ and in the UK sang with the award-winning ‘Naked Voices’ for two years.
He now lives in Byron Bay, where he has established ‘Theatre of Life’, a company running theatre-training and performance projects. Adrian is also a voice trainer at The Actors Workshop and A.C.P.A.
Paul Booth – Stella Adler
Originally from Sydney Paul has been involved in theatre as an actor, director, acting and voice teacher for over 30 years. He has studied with Jone Winchester, Brian Syron, Stella Adler (NY) Yvgeny Lanskoy (NY) and Rowena Balos. Paul holds a Master of Creative Arts degree in Directing from the University of Wollongong. He has been a founding board member and director to a number of theatre companies and has operated his own Acting schools. He worked as head of Acting and Voice studies at David Atkins Dynamite School of Performing Arts in Sydney, the Head of Theatre studies at the Actors Workshop in Brisbane and the acting teacher at ACPA in Brisbane. He has directed and produced a number of theatre, cabaret and musical productions and worked as an assistant director and actor off Broadway in NY. Alongside his theatre work Paul owns and operates his corporate training company – Tailored Leadership Initiatives Pty Ltd.
Paul lives in the Byron Shire of NSW.
Dean Mayer – Meisner
The Meisner Technique is a highly regarded training system for actors that combines truthful emotional responses with enhanced imagination techniques to produce performances that are emotionally authentic. Widely considered the technique that modernised acting the west, this approach has become especially popular due to its effectiveness for on-screen acting.Dean’s passion for the film industry was evoked at the age of 5. His teens found him studying both theatre and film learning a variety of styles. Dean walked away from it with a Best Actor award in 2013 for his roles in “CORPSE!” and best leading actor for the Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards in 2016 for “Rabbit Hole”.
As a filmmaker he is constantly writing and shooting throughout the year, Dynamic Pizza is one short series in which he created. Dean recently started a successful film festival “Screen It!” Film Festival and also was festival director for SIPFest 2015 on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Dean has been using the Meinser technique since his early teens, after meeting up with a group of thespians in The Australian Acting Academy in the early 2000’s he has been working alongside the styles from which he learned. He has an approach to acting that is always about the truth of the given circumstance. He is always working and learning more to improve his craft.

Multi award winning, internationally renowned Greek Australian chanteuse, PARISSA BOUAS released her long-awaited debut solo EP ‘The Full Force of the Wind’ in 2013-14. ‘The Full Force of the Wind’ is a beautiful blend of Billie Holiday meets Tom Waits in a Parisian nightclub, where Gypsies play songs of love and loss, with an occasional distinctly South American twist. Bouas has won a legion of fans and respect for her performances around the world with Australia’s definitive coffee house couple, The Hottentots. After six internationally acclaimed albums, a swag of accolades and years of performing, writing and recording in folk /world music styles, PARISSA is now detouring down the Vintage jazz , Latin and alt Pop path.
With a successful Pozible crowd funding campaign in 2012, PARISSA released her first digital single, ‘Sad Eyes’, a sultry,gypsy jazz tune, which reached the ISC semi finals and won the coveted SONG OF THE YEAR and BEST JAZZ SONG categories at the 2012 Dolphin Music Awards. In 2013 she won BEST JAZZ and BEST WORLD MUSIC for 2 other songs from the album: ‘The Full Force of the Wind’ and ‘Honey and Candlelight’.
Charlie de Salis – Writer, Producer, Director
Originally from Hobart, Charlie completed an Arts Degree at the University of Tasmania before moving to Sydney, where he worked in film distribution for Roadshow Film Distributors, while also completing AFTRS Open Program courses in screenwriting, editing and scriptwriting. In 1989 he moved to Auckland and embarked on a career in the film and television production sector. His extensive screen credits as a producer, director and writer include commercials, short films, television drama, documentaries, and high-end corporate production.
